
Built by the British in the 1830s, this hilltop fort overlooks Port Louis and its harbour.
Its thick stone walls were never used in battle, serving mainly as a lookout point.
The short climb rewards visitors with wide views across the capital and mountains.
It’s a popular, free viewpoint especially close to sunset.
