Mont Choisy is one of the widest public beaches in Mauritius, backed by a long casuarina forest.
Its calm, shallow lagoon makes it especially popular with families and picnicking groups on weekends.
Food carts and small vendors set up along the tree line, selling snacks and fresh coconuts.
The beach connects northward toward Trou aux Biches along the coastal road.
