Established in 1770, this is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the southern hemisphere.
Its giant Victoria amazonica water lilies are among the most photographed features on the island.
The grounds also hold a palm collection and a small spice garden.
Guided tours help identify the many rare and endemic species planted throughout.
